Last week I had the pleasure of being interviewed by a beautiful woman of God, Esther on her blog Ethessential.com/. On her blog, she has created an amazing series called Woman of Purpose and I was chosen to be second in the lineup out of ten ladies & it really inspired me to think more about one’s Purpose.
For so long I struggled to find my purpose in life. I always knew that God created me for a reason, but I could not understand what He wanted to do with my life. But I was so busy trying to think my way to finding God’s purpose for my life, that I had invalidated myself. I tried so hard to seek the approval of what I thought was my purpose instead of seeking God for His purpose for my life.
Life can be hard.
It can also be tiresome, lonely, infuriating, and can oftentimes feel unfulfilling but it does not have to be!
He is a God who knows what the plan is for your life. He is the God who wrote your purpose.
I constantly love to remind myself of my purpose and ask myself, “Am I currently walking in my purpose?”, and “What exactly is my God-given purpose?” It has been said that your purpose is usually the thing that weighs heavy on your heart, no matter how difficult that thing may be!
My goal is to fulfil the purpose God has for me. To live a life that is driven by purpose and a life that is fruitful. Well, in order to do that I have to be spiritually in time with and connected to the creator.
We have to develop an intimate relationship with God; I see it as God would always reveal His secrets to His friends.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” -1 Peter 2:9
Isn’t that beautiful? If we know Jesus, we are chosen, royal, holy… His special possession. And why do we get this privilege? So that we can declare His praises and tell of how wonderful He is. YES! Right there we have discovered our main purpose for The Lord.
God is PERFECT. His voice is a still small whisper in our ears. It is important to note that He is not going force His will on us. We have to be open to it in order to walk in our purpose.
I want to share with you some truths that I have discovered on my personal journey towards walking boldly and powerfully in my God-given purpose.
In order to live a purposely fed life, we need seven things: obedience, identity, humility, strength, love, provision, and purpose. I am not saying that is all we need but it is definitely a good start!
I am so excited to share the FREE 7-day Purposely Driven Devotional I created which I see as quite timely. CLICK HERE to receive it!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Let me encourage you to be determined to fight for your purpose, and God will give you the grace to keep moving forward. In Jesus Name. AMEN!!
