He’s not a God of confusion.

I plan on speaking about this on my Instagram, but I wanted to transfer the content to my blog too since it is sometimes hard to find old posts on Instagram!

I hope to start doing this more often – sharing more on my blog rather than just social media – or at least syndicating what I share on Instagram to my blog so it has a more permanent home!

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ASK God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with NO doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-6

Do You Lack Wisdom?

Whether you are deciding on how to schedule your time today or in the middle of making a big life-changing decision, I think it is easy to get caught up in the busyness and mess of it all (wondering – or even getting frustrated with – why God is not being more obvious with an answer) rather than remembering the simplicity of this truth and promise in James 1 – that God gives generously to all.

But we have got to hold up our end of the promise – which is to ASK and then to have FAITH (without doubting) that He hears us.

Our God is Not a God Of Confusion

You guys, I want to encourage by way of reminding you that our God is not a God of confusion and He wants to guide us and direct our path.

In fact, He even gave us a “counsellor” (aka the Holy Spirit) to live IN us and be WITH us as we navigate through life – in big things and small I think the question we have to ask ourselves is quite literally, are we asking Him? I mean, are you actually slowing down (putting your phone away, this relates to me) and literally ASKING Him for wisdom?

He Wants To Guide You

Let me say it again, He delights in helping us and wants to guide us. But we have to show up. We have to slow down, and we have to make time for it.

Love Always,

Liz Fashanu
